The Overture, a short film directed by Shane Drake, which features clips of four new songs from Panic! At The Disco’s upcoming album ‘Vices & Virtues.’

have revealed to Rock Sound they have wrapped up a short film made with director and long-time collaborator Shane Drake, set to include snippets of four songs from their upcoming (and fully awesome) third record, ‘Vices & Virtues’.
“We’ve had the idea for a while – not to shoot a full video, but shoot a short montage of songs from the record and put a little story together,“ explains frontman Brendon Urie.
Having worked with the band on the majority of their previous videos, including breakthrough hit ‘I Write Sins, Not Tragedies’ and recent single ‘The Ballad Of
Mona Lisa’, returning to Drake was a no-brainer for the duo. “Shane is just so awesome to work with, he is unlike any director we’ve known,” chirps Urie. “He really pushes us to come up with some crazy ideas and try to work it in with whatever budget we have.”
Certainly their most ambitious video project to date, promises it’s going to be full of all the theatrics we’ve come to expect from the band.
“It’s something we’ve never done before. We love the music, but under that we want to make things as dramatic and theatrical as possible. There’s dancing, there’s choreography and a lot of cool little surprises. We can’t wait to show you guys!”
